Has anyone successfully recovered old Messenger messages after uninstalling the app?
Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here has been through something similar. A few weeks ago, I uninstalled Facebook Messenger because I needed to free up space on my phone. I didn’t think much of it at the time, assuming everything would just be there when I reinstalled it. But now that I’ve got the app back, I’m noticing that some of my older conversations seem to be missing. These weren’t archived or deleted as far as I know.
I’ve tried logging in on desktop, checked Facebook’s settings, and even looked into message requests, but no luck. Has anyone dealt with this kind of Messenger recovery issue before? Is there a way to retrieve messages that aren’t showing up anymore, or are they just gone for good?
